- Yan Qing is abandoned when Lu Junyi thought he was lying to him about his wife's affair, and Lu Junyi was an idiot who trusts other people too easily.
- Lu Junyi's wife has Lu killed, but Yan Qing kills his would-be assassins.
- "well i guess we're murderers now" so Yan Qing advises Lu Junyi to join the Liangshan outlaws
- Yan Qing is their go-to man for pretty much everything. He's so reliable, they make him keep resident berserker Li Kui in check.
- One of his more popular adventures is when he defeats the wrestler Ren Yuan, who is like, 10 feet tall and ripped. Yan Qing is tiny.
- The leader of the Liangshan outlaws want amnesty from the emperor so he sends Yan Qing to Li Shishi, the emperor's favorite courtesan, because he's hot.
- Li Shishi thinks he's hot too, actually. She helps him convince the emperor to grant the outlaws amnesty.
- So the Liangshan bandits do get amnesty! They're the emperor's trusted warriors now.
- But Yan Qing doesn't want to stay because of the political situation, so before he leaves, he advises his former Lu Junyi to do the same.
- Lu Junyi is an idiot again, so he stays with the Liangshan bandits because he believes he will be promoted. Yan Qing GIVES UP and leaves.
- Lu Junyi dies by poisoning at the hands of corrupt officials.
- There exists a martial arts style that bears his name in real life, which elevates his status as a Hero.
